If you replace the outlet itself, then remember to exercise extreme caution when working with your house’s electrical system. Be sure to shut off power at the breaker to any outlet you’re working on.
DeWalt USB Battery Adapter
This is one of the coolest new products we’ve seen. The DeWalt USB Battery Adapter is a small device that clips right onto your existing power tool batteries, giving them two USB outputs. This device is great for charging your smart devices at your work site when AC power may not be readily available. Standard power tool batteries will hold enough charge to power an iPhone ten times over.
Our favorite thing about this adapter is how amazingly practical it is in emergency situations. When the power goes out you have no idea when it’ll come back on. If it stays out for days your devices are bound to run out of juice within the first day. You never know how an emergency situation will affect you, but with this great DeWalt product you and your family will be able to keep in touch no matter how long the power is out.
Tundra Fire Suppressant
OK, so this product really isn’t that new, and technically it’s not a fire extinguisher as you know them, but this was so cool we couldn’t help but include it. The Tundra Fire Extinguishing Spray is an aerosol fire extinguisher. Yes you read that right, this stuff is canned anti-fire. It’s as simple to use as pointing it at the source and spraying. It’s small size makes it easy to store and the low price tag makes it easy to have several at in-demand locations around your house, or in your car.
It’s important to point out that this product really only works at the source of a small fire. It’s not going to replace your normal fire extinguisher, and won’t put out a large raging house fire. For small flare ups though such as a grease fire in the kitchen, or a pellet stove malfunction the Tundra spray is the tool for the job. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it’ll help protect you and your family or small business.
