Jason Goralnik is the Store Manager of Koopman Lumber’s Meriden, Connecticut location and brings a lifelong background in the lumber industry to his role. A Southington native, he grew up in the business through his family’s company, Lyon & Billard Lumber Company, and has worked in a wide range of roles across operations, sales, fleet, and store leadership.

Jason has experience in decking, roofing, interior doors, and trim, and especially enjoys helping customers with deck projects. He is known for his direct, solution-oriented approach and for always putting the customer first.

As a leader, Jason values Koopman’s strong team culture and the support that exists across the company. He also appreciates the opportunity to serve the local community in a meaningful way, helping neighbors complete everything from small backyard projects to large-scale developments. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, going to the movies, exploring great food, and following weather models in the winter as a self-described meteorology enthusiast.

John Dean is the Store Manager of Koopman Lumber’s Berlin location and brings a lifetime of experience in the building industry. He first started working in a lumber yard while still in high school and has since built a career that includes roles in estimating, deck design, home design, home building, framing, and CAD drafting.

John also spent more than 20 years managing the Berlin location under Lyon & Billard before joining Koopman. He is especially skilled in estimating building materials and helping customers with doors, windows, hardware, deck design, and home design.

John leads by example and believes that listening carefully is the key to helping customers feel confident in both their choices and their supplier. He enjoys being a trusted resource for homeowners and builders alike and takes pride in guiding customers through projects of every size.

His experience, practical knowledge, and steady leadership make him a valued part of the Berlin community.

Steve Rossi is the Store Manager of Koopman Lumber’s Cheshire location and brings decades of hands-on building industry experience to his role. A lifelong Cheshire resident, Steve studied carpentry at the New England Institute of Technology and spent five years working in the field before joining Lyon & Billard in 1992.

He began in counter sales, was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2004, and now continues his leadership journey with Koopman. Steve has strong knowledge across building materials, windows, doors, hardware, tools, and project estimating, and he enjoys helping customers with projects of all kinds, especially those that bring parents and children together.

He believes in listening, connecting, and showing customers different ways to successfully complete their projects. Steve is proud of the way his Cheshire team continues to evolve, learn new processes, and support one another.

He also enjoys seeing the community projects he has helped guide come to life across the area.
